 Family: I've been married to Linda for almost 42 years, and we have three wonderful grown children; Laurel (married to Burkhard and mother of our two grandchildren, Lorien and Henley) in Germany; Leanne (married to Wade) in Michigan; and Landon, a college student in Mississippi after 6 years in the U.S. Navy.
A look at the past: I started out in ministry as a youth director during college in Texas. After seminary training, I served churches in Arkansas (12 years) and Mississippi (22 years) before coming to New Mexico in October of 2007. I have always loved NM and moving here to serve First Baptist as worship pastor is a dream come true for me.
A look at the future: I see a continuing bright future for FBC in general and for the worship ministry in particular. My goals include spiritual and numerical growth for all choirs and instrumental groups and additional praise teams.
Little known fact: I received an appointment to West Point U.S. Military Academy upon graduation from high school, but God had other plans for me and I resigned after three months. I also learned how to scuba dive years ago.
Advice to others: If you look at Jesus, you will see that His primary focus was relationships of ministry and discipleship. I believe that if we make our relationship with Jesus number one in our priorities, then everything else will fall into place.
